1998 Fender Telecaster Thinline '69 Reissue

This guitar was made in Fender's new plant in Mexico in 1998. The hollow body is made of mahogany. The top is all one piece, with a "cap" on the back. Notice how the grain is different on the pictures below.

The neck is maple, with a 7.25" fretboard radius. It is a pleasure to play!

I used to own a vintage 1968 ash-bodied Fender Telecaster Thinline. This guitar easy equals it in quality.

Note the deep grain pattern in the mahogany! As you can see, I switched the original bridge for one from a Fender '52 reissue Telecaster with brass saddles.

Many people believe that this enhances the tone (the original bridge has steel saddles), but I didn't notice much difference. It is a better made piece of hardware, though. This guitar has definitely got the "twang" that characterizes a tele.
